Rehearsals will begin on or around January 25, 2010
Performance Dates: February 23 – 28, 2010

Casting 4 male African-American actors (2 of whom must sing) and 1 white male actor. Most roles double. Please see breakdown below for age ranges.

Auditions are by appointment only and will be held at Theatre IV’s Empire Theatre, 114 W. Broad Street in Richmond  on Sunday, January 10th 6:00 -10:00 pm.  Appointments will be taken beginning on Monday January 4th.  All actors paid.

Actors interested in auditioning should come prepared to read from the script.

The Sound of Music

Performance Dates: May 14 – July 3, 2010

Casting 24 actors, 18 years or older, with strong singing abilities. All performers will be paid.  The role of The Mother Abbess has been pre-cast. 

Auditions are by appointment only and will be held at Barksdale Theatre at Willow Lawn, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive in Richmond on Mon., January 11th and Tues., January 12th from 6-10 pm.

Those auditioning should prepare 32 bars of a song.  Please bring sheet music in appropriate key. Accompanist provided.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC CHILDREN'S AUDITIONS

Those children who have already auditioned will be notified by email no later than January 1st if invited to callbacks.

Box Office Positions Available

Theatre IV and Barksdale Theatre are seeking part time box office staff for evening and weekend shifts to take place at our three locations (Willow Lawn, Hanover Tavern and the Empire Theatre at 114 West Broad). Hours and work location will vary depending on the number of performances on stage at any given time.

Applicants must display friendly customer service above all and have their own transportation. Computer skills are required, but training will be provided on our box office software.
